Day 1: Are we looking at hat boxes? Very large eye glass cases?… or poorly-made dutch clogs? Nope… These are 48 “meat mummies”: wooden boxes containing beef and poultry, lovingly preserved using salt and tree resin. MMMM mmmmm! … young Tut was certainly no vegan… This would been a nice ‘smoked meat midnight treat’ for his hungry ka! Kind of like pastrami at a Montreal deli. Well maybe. Anyone want to taste?
